We request that your manuscript is submitted as a formatted word document, 12 pt Times New Roman, single-spaced, 1" margins with no headers or footers. Your manuscript must be a minimum of 10,000 words.
Your manuscript should be edited and proofread prior to submitting. However, we offer additional editorial services if you require assistance perfecting your content. Basic copy editing and proofreading services are charged on a per-word basis.
Have your students and colleagues purchase directly from University Readers! Because Amazon.com charges a 45% distribution fee on all sales, that discount reduces your royalty amount per book. Also, utilize the tools in the Start-up Marketing Kit in promoting your title to increase sales outside your own class.
We offer several optional services that will allow you to enhance the quality of your book. Such services include "from-scratch" custom-design cover, basic copy editing and proofreading, data scanning and image layout. Talk with your account manager to see if these options apply to your specific publishing needs.
You'll consult directly with our graphic design team on your ideal cover. We create a custom design to meet your specific needs and provide you with up to 2 proof iterations in order to make it just perfect.
The price of your book is based on the final page count and format of the book (paperback or hardcover, color or black & white interior).

Students can purchase your book by visiting
http://www.universityreaders.com/students/. They will be asked to create an account with a login and password and can easily locate your book by searching for the course or professor name. Immediately after purchasing, students will receive a free PDF download of the first 20% of the book so they can begin reading right away while they wait for their book to arrive by mail.
Yes! Bookstores will receive a 20% discount for stocking your book! Keep in mind that the bookstore will add a retail mark-up to the price for the students. Your royalties are derived from the discounted price, not the mark-up.
